I wrote this song after I saw how discouraged my son Nate gets sometimes when he makes a mistake. I wondered how to react. I didn’t want to tell him to ignore his feelings, as many men end up doing, and that I would love him no matter what.
Back Again - By Rob Twardock
Be at Rest - By Craig James
Bouncing Ball - By Craig James
Blessed not Lucky - By Mike Dikelsky
In a struggle to describe how I feel that God works in our lives, I made the connection between what we call luck and how, through the lense of the cross, we see that luck has nothing to do with it.
Creepin' - By Craig James
I Have No Doubt- By Mike Dikelsky
For my wife Carol with whom I could not live without.
No Time Blues - By Mike Dikelsky
Inspired by my Son Jacob who, on my fourth night in a row of evening appointments asked, "Where're ya goin' now Dad?".
One Foot More- By Rob Twardock
This is the first song I wrote, in June 2007 after TMD had been playing together for only a few months. At that time Leo Karris was playing with us, and since he’s also my neighbor we talked often about music and more. The lyrics of this song came after a conversation we had about “one foot-itis” as Leo called it, or the tendency to always want a little more. I started thinking about what drives our decisions to buy things, and where that elusive boundary is between need and greed…..
Picking Up Speed - By Rob Twardock
Sugar High - By Craig James
Taking a Chance - By Rob Twardock
I wrote this after the first day of school, 2007. I was thinking about how exciting, yet scary school can be the first few days for kids. I also saw the parallels between kids taking on new challenges at school, and adults trying to keep growing by taking risks and chances throughout their lives. So the lyrics are meant for friends of mine who struggle with growing through new challenges, as well as my kids years from now, who I hope will see this song in a new light as they grow.
You're Never too Old - By Rob Twardock
After Mike Dikelsky turned 40 in December 2007, I gave myself (and ourselves in the band) a pat on the back that we were rocking (well, more or less) in middle age. I’m proud of our band and hope we can continue for many years to come.
Wear the Robe - By Mike Dikelsky
I had an interesting chord progression going through my head for which I just could not come up with lyrics(not uinlike right now actually!). Sometime during late Pentacost of 2008 the Parable of the Wedding Feast from the book of Matthew was the subject of the Holy Gospel. I was troubled by the end of the story where the man who attended the wedding but chose not to wear proper wedding atire, even though it was provided, was bound and thrown into outter darkness. Of course Pastor Bob gave an excellent explanation about how, "You gotta wear the robe." Form there, things just clicked.
